 We only stayed for one night, but found all the staff we encountered to be friendly and exceptionally helpful. The hotel is in a rural location and set in beautiful grounds, which is great for a quiet break. We arrived quite late in the evening, but the chef willingly stayed on to cook us a meal, which was excellent. The room was warm and the bed comfortable, although the decor was showing some early signs of looking tired. This was not out of place in such a beautiful old building.
