 We will love to stay in the best western hotel Fenix Glyfada it was a nice hotell.- 06-Oct-2007 Had a thoroughly good time. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with very friendly and helpful staff. The pool area is fantastic, with a full time lifeguard - we had a 7 year old daughter so this was a plus for us. The hotel is about a mile outside of Glyfada town on the "Athenian riviera". There is an excellent tram service running up and down this coastline, so Glyfada is literally only moments away. On one day we took the tram up to Pirreas to have a look around - it took about 30 minutes.
Glyfada town itself isn't particularly Greek - we actually likened it to Southend or Blackpool - it's full of modern buildings, shopping malls and fast food outlets. However we had no trouble in finding several good restaraunts and bars.
We came here to chill out after 3 hectic days sightseeing in Athens, and the hotel served this purpose perfectly. - 26-Aug-2005 |
