A very average hotel that needs upgrading. The bathroom was not up to standard to my opinion, the shower and toilet were next to each other without wall separation but a curtain. It was not pleasant to have a shower by the toilet (and not very hygenic either).
the room was very small, on the + side the bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was ok, but the whole setup in the hotel is very old looking and needs upgrading, including the breakfast room.
There is no direct tram going from the station to the hotel, and althought it is only a 10mn walk it's not so pleasant with luggage, and not such a great area to walk about alone in the evening.
I'm surprised it is part of the Recommended Hotel program.- 03-Oct-2008 Clean, efficient basic hotel at Norwegian prices! More internet access needed in the hotel itself. Staff were helpful and polite.- 24-Sep-2008 A really good place with free (!) internet access. Breakfast is ok and from 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m., they serve a light meal for 105 NOK (very cheap for norwegian circumstances). For city tours, the hotel is well situated for public transportation (day pass 60 NOK = 5$). The rooms are ok (not very spacious, but well furnished for norwegian circumstances); those with even numbers are quite noisy (they go to the street with busses and trams) - the others are quiet.- 10-Jun-2008 |
