The hotel is close to many tourist attractions such as the Tiantan Temple of Heaven Park and Tian An Men Square and is also close to all business areas.

 The Beijing New World Apartments are in a great location. Visitors should be aware that these apartments are not in a hotel complex. There are no hotel services such as restaurants, room service, tour desk etc. However, the sheets and towels are changed daily, the bed is made and the room is tidied. Taxi drivers may have some difficulty finding the hotel. It's around the corner from the 7-Eleven and in the street directly behind McDonalds. The rooms are large and if you like comfort without the pretensions of a hotel, it's great. - 10-May-2007 Location excellent. A little dissapointed as the website described the hotel as having a gym, pool and restaurants. The staff directed me to the shopping mall for these facilities. They were not in the hotel. Also I was not able to get any information regarding tours, places of interest etc from staff due to language barrier.- 16-Jan-2007 We stayed for 2 nights, with 2 rooms and 2 adults/2 kids per room. The rooms were clean, and the kitchettes had the basics we needed. One room even had a small combo washer/dryer. We had extremely firm double beds in each room, and they brought us a roll-away bed as well.
The apartments are located in the back of the Beijing New World Center, just down from the entrance to the hotel there. There is a fairly large supermarket in the basement, with lots of stores/restaurants in the mall on the lower levels. We didn't try the pool, etc. The apartments don't have a cashier, and the hotel wouldn't exchange our money either. The restaurants wouldn't take dollars or credit cards and the ATMs wouldn't accept our cards, so make sure you hit the bank before it closes.
The apartment staff was friendly and very accomodating. It was a good value for the money, and we would definitely stay there again. Also, booking through your website was problem-free.- 30-Oct-2006 |
