Location
Situated in the residential area of Ondarreta in San Sebastian, the Barcelo Costa Vasca Hotel is next to the Miramar Palace's Gardens and is just a few metres away from the beach.
Rooms
Decorated in a traditional style, the 203 guestrooms are spacious and come with all modern amenities to ensure you a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Restaurant
Offering a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, the onsite restaurant serves an incredible selection of Basque cuisine. The hotel also boasts an American Bar and a cafeteria that serves light meals and drinks throughout the day.
General
The hotel offers 5 well-appointed meeting rooms for organising your conferences, seminars and conventions. During leisure, you can either indulge in a game of tennis, have a dip in the swimming pool or relax in the solarium.
 Very comfortable and spacious rooms, with all the expected facilities. Staff were pleasant and helpful, though English was a problem for some.
The walk into the main part of the city is steep - perhaps they could consider a shuttle bus?- 12-Feb-2008 Very satisfied with choice of hotel: friendly, helpful staff (most of whom speak adequate English); comfortable, warm room; clean, fuctional bathroom facilities; restaurant food reasonably priced (set meal was excellent value) and varied; quiet residential location about 20 minutes' walk from city centre or 5 minutes on bus which stops right outside the hotel (1.10 euros). Only downside is that there is a charge for parking in the hotel carpark (maximum 10.50 euros/day), so this can add to the price of the stay. Parking is possible on the road, but this may involve a long-ish walk to the hotel, and there are - obviously - no security guarantees. On the whole, though, highly recommended.- 01-Jan-2008 The hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment so there is some noise and inconvenience - only one lift working for example but staff were very friendly and helpful.
