Lovely hotel. Excellent value. Only downside was that we couldn't book a taxi to Treviso airport from this hotel (not sure why) and were told to turn up at reception when we needed taxi and they would call one. We did but there was no availability and just had to wait while receptionist tried again later. When you have a flight to catch it leaves you feeling a little vulnerable; we actually waited about 25 minutes for a taxi. It wasn't very far but there was a minimum charge of €15. Anyone booking into this hotel to be near airport needs to factor this into their plans - I wasn't surprised and had allowed for it having read someone elses's comments on this comment site, in this regard.- 21-Oct-2007 We chose to stay in Treviso & take the train into Venice on the recommendation of a friend. The hotel was extremely good but the journey to/from Venice was a bit tiring in the heat. Also if your are travelling on any public transport in Italy make sure you have a ticket & that you stamp this on the bus/train etc. We had tickets but the machine did'nt stamp them properly & we ended up with a 30 euro fine because ticket inspectors got on the bus. I have a sneaky feeling they see tourists as soft targets. I saw the same thing happen to other tourists in Amalfi last year.- 17-Jun-2007 Service at the bar was slow - 22-Dec-2006 |
