The service staff were rude and obnoxious. Totally not helpful and furthermore, snobbish. When we reached the hotel, we were treated shabbily without a smile. The staff were not forthcoming in helping us with our queries. They would just gave shrug and said "dont know" or signalled that they were getting impatient.
I booked a triple. The room was very cramped and there was no space to place my luggages. The shower room was also so cramped that I kept knocking on the walls of the shower room when I bath. I stayed 3 nights in this hotel and they did not even bother to change my towels for the 1st 2 days !!! It was really a horrible and miserable experience in this hotel. Totally not value for money !- 26-Dec-2008 the accomodation at the hotel was very good...we were thrilled with the location as it is just 20 metres from the main train station and metro and bus terminal. really brilliant, especially when travelling with a backpack.
we were surrounded by terrfic eateries and internet cafes and even a laundromat...very important.
when making a reservation, always ask for a room that faces the courtyard. the rooms on the street can be noisy all hours.- 17-Oct-2008 I was not impressed with the service at the Aphrodite Hotel in Rome, due to the following:
The bed had springs that protrubed into your back when resting, when I asked to be moved to another room, nothing was done, after a night sleep, I found I had pain in my back. I requested to see the Manager, who was rude, arrogant and not helpful, told me to turn the mattress over myself, he mentioned that all the mattress's throughout the hotel were the same. I was so upset, eventually my husband suggested that perhaps we could have extra blankets to put on the top of the mattress to try and cover the protrubing springs. I really would not recommend this hotel, there was basically no customer service, just rudeness.- 15-Nov-2007 |
