 This hotel is in a nice part of Venice, not too busy, but plenty of restaurants. It takes about 25 minutes leisurely walk to St Marks square. Its very near the train station, less than 200 yards. If coming by bus from the airport it is about 500 yards from where the bus stops and there are two bridges to cross with steps, if your cases are heavy then you would be better to take a water bus the one stop to about 100 yards from the hotel and no steps! You pick up the keys from a hotel three doors away. Get a map or map printout before you get there. There is a new bridge being built at the moment (may 2008) which would make it easier to walk to from the bus stop. Would I stay there again? Yes.- 26-May-2008 A very nice budget Hotel, one min walking distance from Rly Station, it was very convenient and comfortable. Some more facilities like tea/ coffee maker, information brochures, etc would have been better.- 18-May-2008 If you have heavy luggage, this is only a 3-min walk from the train station. If you intend to go to San Marco daily, it's a 40 mins walk or 40 mins water taxi ride away. Do take note that the hotel's breakfast is from 8:00 am to 9:30 am and that there is no reception at the hotel. You have to check-in and leave your keys with the reception at a 2-star hotel 20 metres away.- 02-Oct-2007 |
