 We have stayed there before. The location is off the usual travel paths in that it is in an urban residential location about 25 minutes from the Louve;left bank;D,Orsay. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Park Moncleau and 20 minutes to the Etoile. It is next to both a metro and RER (a commuter train that gets you directly to the D.Orsay). The rooms;restaurants nearby;and service are terrific. Breakfasts are great. I would always try to stay there. - 03-Jun-2008 Really like this hotel. My first choice for business travel in Paris. Not pricey. Staff is very helpful as always. Good breakfast buffet and there are nice restaurants within 5 minutes' walk. - 29-May-2008 We stayed in Ampere Hotel 30 Apr - 3 May 2008 and enjoyed every minute of it. Very nice, quiet location, not very central but the Metro around the corner takes you everywhere. Good selection of Restaurants in the area. The hotel was very full and some congestion and shortage of items was observed at breakfast rush time. Breakfast itself was very good.
