Location
Located on a secluded headland at the southern corner of Patong, the Amari Coral Beach Resort offers spectacular views of the picturesque bay. The resort is only a kilometre from the Patong Beach and 15 kilometres from the Phuket Town.
Rooms
Each of the 197 guestrooms at the resort features contemporary Thai design and a host of modern conveniences. All the rooms come with a balcony that offers beautiful sea views.
Restaurant
There are a wide variety of restaurants at Amari Coral Beach Resort, ranging from informal poolside dining to the romantic bay-side setting of La Gritta Italian Restaurant. Serving light refreshments throughout the day, the Lobby Bar is the ideal place to relax after a day of sightseeing around the island.
General
The resort has a well-appointed function room to cater for your small meetings and private parties. The extensive recreational facilities include spa, swimming pools, fitness room, scuba diving centre, games room, sauna, tennis courts and much more.
 Our stay was wonderful, the only negative is, if one is unfit or want to choose to eat out or visit the main beach, this is not the Resort for you. There are lots of steps at the resort especially down to breakfast each morning (great buffet breaky). It was also a good 15 minute walk down a steep hill to the main Patong Beach and restaurant area or a Tuk Tuk ride at 150 Baht down and 200 baht back. Will look for something a bit closer to the beach and other restaurants next time.
The pools are lovely and the staff very attentive. Rooms are spacious with balcony and view over Patong Bay, bathroom small. Food and drinks are expensive, as is expected at a Resort of this quality. Hotel could look at a Shuttle into Patong not just Kata Beach.- 05-May-2008 I stayed at Amari in Oct 2007.While it is a 4* hotel it seemed more like 5* from my experience.I stayed afterwards at the 5* Marriot in Bangkok which was comparatively poor.At Amari I was upgraded to a Deluxe room which made it even better.The receptionist led me to the room explaining everything about the hotel very clearly. The sea view was spectacular and the room was excellent - big, clean and nicely decorated.The breakfast buffet was great too, as were the swimming pools.The hotel is located within 10 minute walk from Patong, so very convenient.In fact the whole experience was very good apart from one thing.The hotel is keen to push their own packages onto guests and whenever I asked for information on taxi to airport, ferry trip to Phi Phi etc they would pretend they don't know what the cost is or where to go and would push their own overpriced deal on me.In that way they were very unhelpful.Eg their taxi to airport costs 800bht whereas a normal one costs about 400bht.Be warned.- 11-Oct-2007 Excellent resort/hotel, first class service.- 24-May-2006 |
