This hotel is one of the best situated that I have ever stayed at. It looks over the city of Granada and is only a 10 minute walk down to the main road leading to the shopping areas and the cathedral. A regular bus service (every 5 minutes) operates between Alhambra and the Albaicyn via the city centre. Food in the hotel is excellent and varied. Breakfast will suit all tastes and they serve excellent coffee. All the front of house staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The rooms are spacious and well fitted out with period furniture. - 31-Oct-2008 Lovely hotel close to the Alhambra with breathtaking views over Granada and the Sierra Navada mountains. Very well maintained rooms and common areas, beautiful architecture and helpful staff. Pricey, but you do get what you pay for. The only downside is that it's very expensive to buy meals in the Hotel and there are only limited restuarant and cafe options in the immediate vicinity. We walked down the hill to town for breakfast.- 17-Apr-2008 I recommend that you should emphasise to your guests who are visiting the castle the importance of the time on their ticket. We missed our entry by 5 minutes due to the long queues for head phones and the long clime to the castle from the ticket office. We were made to buy new tickets! having booked ours months in advance. We were not happy and felt it was vey unfare.- 22-Mar-2008 |
