After 10 days of touring Tuscany, we chose this hotel because it was near the station (we had an early flight home). The staff were very helpful. They allocated us room 111, which was right behind reception. It was clean and reasonably equipped, with a safety deposit. The bathroom was very clean although the shower was a bit dodgy! We didn't spend much time in the room but whilst we were getting changed for the evening we could hear all the conversation at reception and the fax/printer chattering away. Fortunately, it was much quieter when we returned to sleep. The hotel is not situated in a particularly nice area (lots of graffiti on the walls) but it's ideal for quick access to the station.- 13-Aug-2008 I stayed here for 5 nights in July, the hotel is ultra clean, it's modern but not in a clinical pretentious way, it has traditional furnishing. Staff were very helpful and recommended restaurants, public transport etc. Breakfast was a buffet with bread rolls, croissants, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, ham & cheese, juice. No evening meals but wide selection of restaurants near by. Mini bar, hairdryer, TV, power shower, safe in room. Location perfectly safe at night with a couple of small shops and bakeries very close. Gallileo restaurant recommended for real italian food at very reasonable prices. Leaning tower is nice 25 stroll, or 15 fast paced walk. Nice gardens near hotel. I'm very fussy about hotels and I just cannot fault this place - highly recommended- 07-Jul-2007 Entering the small but attractive reception we were greeted by friendly staff. This was the case whenever we passed through the area. The room we occupied faced the hotel parking area and was quiet. The room decor was fine, with parquet floors. The breakfast was adequate to start the day, but the variety of bread supplied was surprisingly limited (this was also our experience elswhere in Tuscan, so not the hotel`s fault). The hotel is very convenient for the raiway station for trips. The Piazza Miracolo is about 20 minutes or so walk through interesting areas. Very good 2 day stay.- 14-Jun-2007 |
