The staff was incredible during out stay. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. This hotel is very gay friendly so that was another huge plus for us. It is in a safe neighbourhood not far from the flower market and right on a useful tram line.- 10-Aug-2009 Warm hotel with no aircon så hope you get a room not facing the street - the noise from traffic is quite bad. We had som problems with mosquitos in our room. Lare room but some outdated bathrooms.- 18-Jun-2009 Have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Albus Grand Hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and the reception staff were very helpful. The breakfast is of good quality and plenty of variety, from yoghurts to crispy bacon! The location of the hotel is good. You can walk to the City centre in 10 minutes.
The only negative comments we have are the lift was broken for most of our stay and we were on the 8th floor which meant we had 16 flights of stairs to climb! Not great when you have been walking around Amsterdam all day! We also asked for a non smoking room our room was clearly a smoking room as there was a strong smell of stale smoke and had burn holes on the carpets and chairs!
All in all a good hotel that we would recommend. Book early as it's cheaper!- 17-Mar-2008 |
