 This hotel has the best position possible for those visiting Venice.Only minutes from St Marks square and 30 paces from designer shopping. 30 paces from the water taxi to the hotel door!- 10-Jun-2008 One word to describe this hotel and that is perfect. Getting there is so easy, the Ferry stops right at the square S.Maria Del Giglio where the hotel is situated (after getting off walk down the little alley and at the end look diagonal across the square, in front of the Church is the hotel). The service from the reception staff was exceptional (especially Michele) and they speak very good English. The room was very clean (small but it’s all you need). The hotel is only a short 5-10min walk to San Marco square and not much further to Rialto (or with the ferry at your door catch this if you don’t feel like walking). Breakfast you had a choice of fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh small buns with Jam, etc or croissants, cereal, boiled eggs, juice, tea & coffee. Perfect start to your day and everything was fresh. Our stay in Venice was magic (including this hotel). I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend to all friends and family if the opportunity arises. - 04-Jun-2008 Whilst the breakfast was pretty poor the hotel was clean and in a great location... 5 mins to the Piazza San Marco and 10 mins to the Rialto Bridge. One minor grip was the amount of noise that the room cleaners made was a bit much but being Venice you are awake and up anyway. Bear in mind Venice is not a hot bed of activity in the evening.
