Staff are very friendly and speak excellent English. Rooms are comfortable and stylish. Free wifi available. Courtyard garden is lovely, especialy after the heat and crowds of Venice in the summer. Located near train station and vaporetti but peaceful (apart form the church bells in the morning!). Recommend highly.- 01-Oct-2009 Great hotel, great location (next to railway station), very friendly staff. Definitly will go back there.- 06-Jan-2009 We were party of 4 mature travellers and this hotel suited our requirements. Having read about dragging cases and having to travel by water bus this hotel was in the ideal location next to the bus/train station and next to a water bus stop. We travelled to Murano, St Marks Square and various points down the Grand Canal on it.
Our room was adequate, no tea making facilities, which we like, but a mini bar. On a plus side it is good to have a lounge area that you can chill out in after a busy day site seeing.
The staff were all very friendly and pleasant.
Most people seemed to come down to breakfast at 9 am so dining room was a bit crowded, if you are there in the summer months there is a garden that you can sit in and eat breakfast. Only downside was church bells that were rung around 7 - 8 am in the morning, my husband counted them - more than a hundred dongs, but by that time you are ususally getting up to explore this wonderful city. Definitely stay there again.- 25-Oct-2008 |
